5 HOURS, GUYS! XD

I just went and bought a bag of Jelly Babies and two cans of coke to celebrate.

As if I need the extra caffiene.

Having said that, I'm a little apprehensive because I've got this creeping feeling of 'nothing's gonna be the same again', you know?

Still, it's gonna be AWESOME.

No spoilers in the comments, plzkthnx. :)

I just caught up with this week's Otalia.

What is with you, Guiding Light? After all that, and you're just gonna break them up again?

Grr. I am so not happy right now.

Please, please tell me there is a Ten/Jack video out there somewhere to My Chemical Romance's 'Famous Last Words'?

Come on, the lyrics are frickin' perfect

I am not afraid to keep on living
I am not afraid to walk this world alone

'Cause I see you lying next to me
With words I thought I'd never speak
Awake and unafraid, asleep or dead.

Nothing you can say could stop me going home.

You give the characters this big speech about not waiting forever for the things they want, even little Emma (I adore that little girl, she just knows) says "Come on, what are you waiting for?" AND THEN YOU GO AND MAKE THE AUDIENCE WAIT FOR THE KISS?!

Is that evil, or what?

Also, Jack/Ten is fast eclipsing my Doctor/Rose love. Which is quite a feat, I assure you. I think I need to go watch Series One and Two again. Come to think of it, Jack/Doctor have done their fair share of waiting too, haven't they? *fights off plotbunnies*

Okay, so I know I haven't said much about this series so far, but I have been loving it.

A couple of thoughts about this week's ep, next week's trailer and the series as a whole behind the cut.

Beware of spoilers! )Edit: This is my 200th post! Woot! lol

Comment to this entry and I'll pick 3 of your fandoms. You must then update your journal and answer the following questions:
01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fan fiction, graphics, discussions)?
05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

Copied from

[info]sadera992, who gave me Lewis, Life on Mars and Doctor Who.

Lewis

01: I've been a Morse fan since 2006 (yeah, I know, but ITV did reruns, lol) but when I saw the trailer for the first series of Lewis I just thought it was too sad seeing poor Lewis all old and depressed, and I thought I'd miss Morse too much, so I didn't watch it. I then promptly forgot all about it until I saw a trailer for the third series and thought what the heck, I'll give it a try. And promptly fell in love with it. I've yet to see the first two series, but I'm buying the DVDs as soon as I get a chance.
02: Ooh, I dunno. It is a very small fandom unfortunately, so there's not much to keep me there in the long run.
03: From series 3? Probably The Quality of Mercy. I really, really want to see Life Born of Fire from series 2 though.
04: Not yet. Maybe when I've seen all the episodes.
05: Hell yes! There's only a handful of people, and the show deserves so much more recognition than that.

Life on Mars

01: I'd been watching for a couple of weeks, from 2x01 onwards, when after 2x06 aired I finally realised that I'd yet to search for the fandom online. I typed it in to LJ, found [info]lifein1973, and bingo. :)
02: I think I have moved away from it quite recently, have been focusing more on Torchwood. I did spend about a year and a half totally entranced though.
03: Argh, difficult one. I think I'm gonna have to say 2x07, simply because of the Sam/Gene interaction in that ep. One of my favourite scenes is of Gene burping loudly after devouring his breakfast and Sam dropping his spoon into his dainty little yoghurt pot with disgust.
04: I wrote a lot of fic for this fandom during 2007/2008, but my creative spark eventually fizzled out.
05: I think that there was quite a healthy sized fanbase for this show when it was at its peak, but lately it's gotten very quiet. But yes, if you haven't seen it, you must. I get ever so frustrated with my Dad now for watching A2A and going 'who the hell is this Sam bloke?'

Doctor Who

01: I know how I got in to the show, but I can't remember quite how I got into fandom. I think it must have been mainly reading fic on FF.net until I discovered LJ.
02: Oh, I'm here to stay, baby.
03: No. Don't make me choose. Of course I love The Doctor Dances and Rose, but then there's The Impossible Planet/Satan Pit story, not to mention Blink and Utopia. Oh, and The Unicorn and the Wasp and Partners in Crime. No, I'm actually incapable of choice. Ooh, and I love The Christmas Invasion.
04: I've not written much for this fandom at all, no. I guess I just think it's so perfect that I can't bear to put my grubby paws all over it, you know?
05: There's a phenomenal fan following for this show, and sometimes it gets a little overwhelming. The smaller fandoms such as LoM and Lewis feel much more intimate and cosy because there are fewer people and less chance of full out ship wars/character bashing etc. By all means watch the show, it's brilliant, but please don't start telling me Rose and/or Martha should just GTFO already because I won't be impressed.

Doctor Who - Planet of the Dead )

Then I watched Top Gear, Red Dwarf (thanks Loz, I found the eps on YT!), Starsky and Hutch, Lewis and Top of the Cops. Anyone would think I'm a 40-year-old bloke with the shows I watch. :P

....Revision? What revision?
